Take this unique opportunity to share your insights and shed light on how your peers can maximize their use of employee and talent management.

Please submit a short speaking abstract, a maximum of 75 words, outlining the experiences and/or expertise you wish to share at the 2008 Halogen Software User Conference in Ottawa, Ontario, September 15-16, 2008.

Attendees come to the Halogen User Conference with all levels of experience, from those who have yet to receive training and are looking to avoid pitfalls right from the start to savvy veterans looking for a bright new trick that will propel them to the next level.

If your speaking abstract is selected and you attend the conference as a speaker your conference registration fees will be waived making the Halogen User Conference an even greater value for you.

The Halogen Software User Conference is interested in presentations that:

  • Provide education on conference topics;
  • Contain practical "how-to" information; and/or
  • Have interactive content or demonstrations.

Suggested conference topics include, but aren’t limited to those related to the following:

  • Taking your performance management system to the next level and transforming it into a complete talent management system;
  • Tips and advice for beginners and advanced users of Halogen eAppraisal, and other solutions;
  • Winning with eSuccession and succession planning;
  • Success surrounding pay-for-performance and the use of eCompensation;
  • Winning use of competencies;
  • Creative implementation, communication, and employee and executive engagement strategies;
  • How to increase your strategic voice and gain greater credibility with executives;
  • Goal management: aligning organization goals, "SMART" goals;
  • Career development and learning plans and the connection to employee performance management;
  • Unique approaches to scoring and weighting;
  • Stretching the power of the Halogen solution to address unique needs in unique ways;
  • Achieving high-quality appraisals and more meaningful feedback;
  • Gaining executive and employee investment in Halogen solutions;
  • Calculating return on investment for employee performance an talent management; and
  • Using Halogen solutions to tackle industry specific challenges:
    • Professional services — tackling project based reviews;
    • Financial services — overcoming regulatory compliance challenges; or
    • Healthcare — successfully implementing clinical competencies.

Step into the light and submit a brief abstract on any subject you believe would benefit those attending. Remember, if the knowledge and experiences have helped you they are certain to benefit your peers. If you would prefer to present with a colleague or with a reprehensive from a second organization, we can accommodate your wish

Please email us by April 30, 2008 with the your abstract.

Duration: The majority of presentations will run between 30-and 45 minutes including time for questions from those in attendance. However we are also looking for shorter presentation of approximately 15-20 minutes.

Halogen thanks you for your interest in presenting at the 2008 User Conference. We are fortunate to have many customers express interest in presenting - and it is unfortunate will not be able to accommodate everyone. Please submit your abstracts early. I will contact you no later than May 15, 2008 regarding the status of your submission.
