Halogen's subscription license gives you the right to use the application for a specified period of time, typically a three year term. We offer subscription license pricing for two deployment options:
Subscription License for On-Premise Deployments
- Our On-Premise subscription license gives you the right to use the application for a specified period of time.
- You install and access the service from your own IT infrastructure.
- As part of the license fee, we also provide you with access to helpline/technical support, and maintenance updates and product upgrades that you will need to install.
- Subscriptions are normally for 3 year terms.
Subscription License for Hosted On-Demand Deployments - aka Software as a Service (SaaS)
- Our On-Demand subscription license gives you the right to use the application for a specified period of time.
- You access the service via the Internet, without the need to deploy and maintain an on-premise IT infrastructure.
- We provide you with access to helpline/technical support.
- As part of the license fee, we host the application in our world-class, On-Demand hosting environment, and are responsible for all application maintenance.
- This model is also known as Software as a Service* since the vendor supplies both the software and the hosting environment as a service to the customer.
- Subscriptions are normally for 3 year terms.
What is SaaS?
Software as a Service (SaaS) is defined as a software solution that is hosted and supported by a vendor as a service. Users access the service via the Internet, without the need to deploy and maintain an on-premise IT infrastructure. With SaaS you rent the software - you do not own it. With SaaS licensing you get all the benefits of using our fully featured Employee Performance and Talent Management suite without any of the IT overhead normally associated with deploying and maintaining this type of enterprise class software.SaaS is sometimes associated with a 'pay-as-you-go' subscription pricing, but it really only refers to the hosted deployment model.
